Jackie Albright is based in Chicago, Illinois, and supports the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program as an Advisor.
Prior to joining the FLTA team, Jackie managed the Fulbright Foreign Student Programs for Australia, Chile, Indonesia, Japan, Mongolia New Zealand, and Vietnam. Jackie also worked as the Program Coordinator on the Critical Language Scholarship Program, an international exchange program providing language training to American undergraduate students. She holds BAs in International Relations and Japanese from the University of Rochester.
Having worked at the European Parliament in Belgium and as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan, Jackie understands firsthand the challenges that may accompany life as an expat. She is eager to provide support, so please feel encouraged to check-in at any time!

Ted Geary is an Advisor at IIE in New York City for the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program. As an advisor, he works closely with program participants in a student services and monitoring role. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in German Studies, Ted taught English and researched Austrian 20th century post-war history in Vienna through the Fulbright Program. He then returned to the US and completed a Master’s degree in International Education at New York University. Prior to his current role, Ted worked in IIE’s Global Scholarship and Learning Programs division administering study grants on behalf of international corporations and foundations. In between his two positions at IIE he spent 18 months in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where he volunteered at the IIE Addis Ababa office and the Education USA office. When he’s not at IIE, he enjoys playing Irish fiddle in his free time. Any FLTAs in the New York City area who play Irish traditional music should let him know!
