They always stressed that the knowledge we gain through education opens up windows towards the outside world, broadens our perspectives and provides new opportunities. Education enables us to move up in the world and succeed in life. So, when the opportunity came for me to travel to the USA for higher education, my family gave me all their support and encouragement. In June 2000, I was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue an MA in English at the University of Northern Iowa, USA. Read more
